BIOGRAPHY
Trained in prestigious international dance centers, including the Balletto di Toscana in Florence, Steps and the Alvin Ailey Dance Center in New York, Columbus in Zurich, and the Laban Centre in London. He has danced with companies such as Doppio Movimento, Steptext Dance Company, La Petite Entreprise, Richard Siegal’s company, and the Compagnie Baroque en France directed by Laurence Fanon. With the Eko Dance Project, he performed the role of the Father in The Sleeping Beauty by Mats Ek and took part in major productions of the Opéra National de Paris, including Boléro by Maurice Béjart, La Source by Jean-Guillaume Bart, and the Gala for the 150th anniversary of the Opéra National de Paris. He was also a guest soloist with the Mandala Dance Company in Rome in The Firebird and appeared in creations such as Création Versace by Karolin Armitage, Le Rouge et le Noir by Pierre Lacotte, and La Forza del Destino by Terry John Bates.
For cinema, he choreographed Let’s Dance by Ladislas Cholla, Tout simplement noir by Jean-Pascal Zadi and John Wax, and Jalouse by David and Stéphane Foenkinos, where he was responsible for both choreography and dance. He also performed in the new film by Olivier Assayas, choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj.
As a choreographer, in 2009 he created his first duet, Due entità. His artistic vision is based on a subtle fusion of conceptual contemporary dance and narrative, where the theatricality of movement takes on a central role. He considers the stage a space for shared expression, where the dancer’s voice and presence become an integral part of choreographic research. For him, creation is a reciprocal exchange, where everyone gives and receives, and dance must be intensely experienced in the present moment.
He is currently the Artistic Director of the Compagnia I Funamboli in Paris, Artistic Director of Atelier Paris&Italie, as well as an international teacher and choreographer, holding the French state diploma of Professeur Diplômé d’État.
